Command line ebay sniping

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

As eBayAgent doesn’t seem able to keep up with changes to ebay’s HTML, I have moved to esniper. This doesn’t run as a daemon with a countdown like eBayAgent, but in conjunction with at it will do the same thing.

So far it seems reliable, and works on the UK site.

070 numbers and Loot / AutoTrader, etc

Monday, July 21st, 2008

070 numbers are “personal” numbers.

They can be used to disguise your real number and are often used for scamming.

Be very wary if someone offers to buy your car / claims you’ve won the lottery / etc and leaves you one of these as a contact number. Sometimes they may mask the number as +4470.
