How to have Firefox 3 and Firefox 2 running at the same time | redemption in a blog
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008How to have Firefox 3 and Firefox 2 running at the same time
Quite simply set up a different profile that FireFox 3 always runs under (for example, my FF3 windows shortcut target is
“C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5\firefox.exe” -P FireFox3
(FireFox3 being a profile I set up).
I think the betas of Firefox 3 are now stable enough for everyday use, and it certainly feels snappier to me. Also major plugins (adblock plus, noscript) support it.

Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter. The story is set in 20,031 where you play as Trent Hawkins, a skilled fighter-pilot employed to fight Microsol and save the galaxy.
SVN builds are available on the forums for Windows and Mac OS X. Grab a copy of the Tyrian 2.1 data files (mirror), since they usually are not included with the SVN builds.
There are also console builds for the PSP, DS, GP2X, Gizmondo, GameCube, Amiga, Dreamcast, and Nokia Internet Tablets.

Moving from bloglines (almost)
Thursday, April 17th, 2008I’m on the verge of moving from Bloglines. Newsgator offer fantastic desktop clients for Windows & Mac, as well as a web based version - but what is really great is that they all sync, so you don’t re-read the same articles if you read from multiple computers.
Unfortunately, the web reader is not as good as bloglines, and as far as I can tell none of the linux desktop aggregators such as straw or liferea support syncing with the open api newsgator provide.
