The Beach Burrito Cafe is shut!
Bollocks! The Beach Burrito Cafe in Berwick Street Soho is shut! Anyone know why?
UPDATE: Reopening and now known as Mexicali
UPDATE 2: Mexicali has been open a while now, went back for the first time recently and the spicy chicken burrito with guacamole was excellent (and enormous)!

Bad news, how to feed my addiction now?
I’ve started a Facebook group for interested parties and news.
Can’t see them just shutting down, they must be re-opening somewhere, they were onto a good thing there…

They closed the Soho store! i love that place i love there food I go there in everytime when i visit London. I admit i have bad manners on my part but i’ve over heard the owner speaking of opening another store. On more than one visit But i didnt think they’d close this one down. They are still open but at much larger location but i dont know where in London.
I’m very surpised they havent left moving instruction in weeks of them leavin to all there customers?

They are open somewhere in Chelsea but coming back to Soho in six weeks, in the Reckless Records shop on Berwick Street. Hurrah

I spoke to the owner Michael after they first opened and he told me that the lease on Berwick St. was limited and he was looking for other locations. Later, I was reliably informed that there was at least one other location (under a different name) and perhaps two–but more of a bar than an eating establishment.
And the ever reliable Nick has it for us: http://www.eatmexicali.com/
Restaurants in Notting Hill and Chelsea, even further away from Stokey!

Yes, Soho had to shut because the building is being redeveloped - but we’ll be opening just a little further up the same street in about a month’s time - all being well! The new name will be Mexicali - we already have a similar place on Fulham Road, and have now opened a full margarita bar and restaurant on Notting Hill Gate - Please come and say hi!

Yep - not many place for burritos in town. I like ‘Wrap it up!’ which is opposite Liverpool Street station - especailly the Grande Beef Burrito which is well filling.

Hurrah! Beach Burrito Cafe is now re-open as ‘Mexicali’ in Soho. Same street (Berwick Street) but further up closer to Oxford Street end. Burritos are still excellent!!!
