microsoft activesync causing instant pc reboot upon USB connection?
Is microsoft activesync causing you an instant pc reboot upon USB connection?
It was to me, and I found out it was some very dodgy software my USB lexmark printer was running on startup. Disable lexbces, lexpps and (possibly) Lxsupmon. More info here.
You can use jv16 to disable most of these...
LEXBCES is the worst of all. In XP/2000 set the Lexbce Server service to DISABLED.

Mail preferences disappearing in Mozilla on Windows XP...
Are your mail preferences disappearing in Mozilla on Windows XP? Are you also running Trend PC-Cillin Antivirus 2000? This appears to remove the prefs.js file, breaking your settings. Upgrade to PC-Cillin 2003 or a different vendors' antivirus product.

If you have received anything like this, why not complain at oftel (presuming you're in the UK.
To stop it (if you use XP), go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> Messenger -> Click "Stop" and set startup type to "Manual", then "OK"
